How much does a license to use your software cost?

 

An annual license to use CIMS® on an unlimited number of projects, is based on our current costs and the amortized value of our investment in the development, upgrading and maintenance of the software.  In addition to the annual license fee, the software licensing quote will include a one-time setup fee for each project, a monthly web server hosting fee, and a user support fee.  Our software licensing feet is not based on the construction values or on the number of wrap-up projects that the software is used to administer.  So, the more wrap-up projects that you administer with our software, the lower the per project software licensing cost.  Contact us for a quote.

How does a user access the software ?

 

The software is accessed using Internet Explorer 5 or higher.  Each user is assigned a user name and password which provide access to authorized software modules.  Limited use access may be granted to the project owner's representative(s) and others, without compromising the integrity of the data.

What if I want to modify the way the software performs ?

 

We realize that every wrap-up administrator will require modifications to the default operation of the software.  For that reason, our software license quote includes the modification of the insurance credits\deducts module in the base price.  Each client begins with the default version of the software.  As modifications are performed, the client's version of the software becomes unique to that client.  This unique version of the software will not be licensed to any other client.  After a software modification request is made in writing, the modification request is clarified, and then a quote [including price and time] is provided to the client, who makes the final determination to proceed with the modification.

How secure is the software ?

 

Acacia's web servers are dedicated application servers, accessible only by using IP addresses provided to authorized users. 

Security at the server level includes the latest service packs and security patches available from Microsoft, OS hardening such as NTFS permissions, local security policies, user rights and IP filtering. All our servers are also behind a firewall. Additional specific security measures requested by the client can be provided at additional cost.

Where is the wrap-up data stored and how do I get it at the end of the project(s) ?

 

Project data is stored on Acacia's secure servers.  CIMS® project data is backed up daily off-site.  All project data will be provided to you at the end of each project in Excel spreadsheets.

How do you provide software user support ?

 


Senior Technical Support Specialists provide priority telephone user support for CIMS® authorized users. The specialists are dedicated to CIMS® support and are available by phone during normal working hours (Pacific Time) or by e-mail or fax. We have been providing technical support to hundreds of users of our software for nineteen years and can supply you with the names of a representative sample of those users to verify the high quality of timely user support that we provide. 

 

Dedicated around-the-clock remote user support is also available at additional cost.
